We had two birthdays this last week, Austin and Taylor! Another year goes by!I have had a great week here this week. It is crazy to see all of the miracles that come to pass. This week we found a sister through doing some unplanned service. We helped a member to clean her store, when a friend walked by. We talked with her and she was a less active. We went to her house and she is super excited to come back to church. She went this last week and had an amazing experience! The bishop expressed how happy he was to have her back. My companion had been trying to contact this less active lady for 3 months we came to find out. It is incredible how the Lord puts people in our paths.I learned more about grace this week. When we do all that we can, that is when the grace of the atonement comes. That is when we recieve the help that we need. If we don't do our part first, God is not going to help us. We truly have to act. That is the prayer of faith, when we follow it with our acts, or our heart. I really have grown closer to the savior in this process. It seems like everyday of my mission is a little cycle of the atonement. I have the low and high moments of everyday. There always is a rise after the fall. We truly have to have the hope, or wait, until the rise comes. It always does if we continue faithful. God always blesses us in his own time.Love you all and Can't wait to hear back next week!Elder Roberts

Hello Everyone From Peru!!!!
Elder Roberts here with another week here in Peru! I am going to try and write a really good letter this week so that I will get some more poeple to write me! hahaha This last week we had changes, but I didnt get a change. My companion is the same, but now he finished training. I got called as a District Leader here. It is great to be here and be able to serve. I am really loving all of the expieriences that I have to learn and grown here.
Here in the streets they have living chickens in crates, and they let you pick which one you want. They then pull it out and get it all ready for you. Because of all of the chickens in the street, it always smells great here. There is also garbage in every street just thrown all over. But I have come to forget that these things aren´t normal. I have also come to forget how I am the only white guy in the streets. I really feel Peruvian. It is so wierd to remember that I am a 6`4 giant. But it all is part of the amazing expierience!
Yesterday we were out walking when we passed by the house of a member. We decided to go and talk to him when he told us that he wanted us to visit his brother. We went in and visited with his brother Henry. He has had a lot fo problems with his family latly. We talked with him and it was truly incredible to see how the lord had put us in his path at this time. Every single day has miracles like this.
I tagged a couple of photos to the email. One is of me eating a ton of pizza hut. The other is a photo with one of the members from my first area that we saw at the mall on P'day last week. I dont remember what the other ones are, but I am sure you will enjoy them. It really is great down here! I really have come to love this country.
Remember what great importance the family has. We had a 70 come and visit us here and did a workshop. He talked about how we have been put in families that allow us to recieve the ordanances of the temple. Ireally have started to realize how blessed we truly are to be members in families that we can recieve these blessings. God really is watching over us and has a plan for each one of us!
I love you all and hope you have a great week!

8 MONTHS!!!
I'm 3/16/2015
HOLY COW EVERYONE, I HAVE BEEN IN THE MISSION 8 MONTHS TODAY!! How crazy! It really is aboslutly incredible how fast the time goes by.
I put three pictures on here. One is of me cooking my eggs and hamburgers. I eat that almost every breakfast and dinner here. We dont have a pension for the night or morning, so I have been having to learn to get creative with my cooking. It really is a good attribute to learn.
Well this coming monday are changes and I am kinda bumbed. Everything is going super good here right now. But that is how the mission and the atonement work, always having to change in order to improve.
We got to have a 70 come here and talk to us this last week. It was super cool! He spoke in a way that was really interesting to me. He spoke really simply and almost joked around with the people. Interesting to see the different patterns that the lord has layed out to preach his gospel. It really is different with every person, we just have to follow the spirit and the example of the saviour.
Love you all and know that you are amazing! Keep on writing and I will keep on telling you how it is!

Hello from San Juan, Peru
3/9/2015
Things continue to chug along here in peru. It really is incredible to continue to learn more and more every day. I feel that it really is incredible to see all of the expieriences that God has in store for us. All of it depends on what we do with the trials and adversity that we are given.
My spanish accent has improved a ton with my new companion here. He has helped me with my r´s so that they come out latino. It really is incredible to see the progress that I have made. I CAN SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE, how cool is that???
But all is going great. Happy birthday to Cameron, Grandpa Lloyd, and little Daniel! Every time I think of the birthdays it is strange because I reamember the birthdays last year. Crazy how the time flies.
Thank you all for your support and prayers. I am doing really good right now and am really recieving a ton of blessings from the lord.

I got Changed!
3/2/2015
Hey everyone, it was a crazy week this week. It was wednesday night when we recieved a call. It was the assistent of the president. He told me that I had a change to San Juan, in Lima and that I was going to leave the next day at 10 in the morning. Dont worry, I didnt do anything wrong. hahaha, but now I am training a new elder, elder Maldonado. He is from Bolivia. He is really hard working and sarcastic, so we get along really well. It really is a huge blessing to get to be in this new area.
I feel like I finished what I needed to do in my last area, so I was okay when I heard that I had the change. It was still hard because these people become your family. I didnt get to be there for the baptism of jocelyn, but everything went well. We had a baptism in this new area that I am in on saturday. It was really great to get to have a baptism here with my son of the mission.
Well, I am here in a new area again. It is crazy how quick everything changed. Now I have a great opportunity to help a new missionary ´(my son) learn all of the things of the mission. I truly am blessed. Love all of you and write me if you have any questions. I will answer next week if I cant get back to you today.
